Any mold remediation addresses the presence of moisture through a combination of ventilation, vacuuming, and heat. The only possible downside of dry ice blasting is that any mold that escapes the reach of the blaster can repopulate the area. Other than that, dry ice is one of the most effective means of killing mold, especially in wood.

Of course, these techniques are used in conjunction with removal of mold infested materials. Only the most benign mold growth can be easily cleaned without removing materials.
